Isnβt it true that if believers were more βon fireβ for Christ, more completely sold out to Him, those who are now disinterested would be more apt to become interested and come to know Him as their Savior? We so soon lose interest or become discouraged, and quit. This is why the Apostle Paul, that tireless ambassador for Christ, wrote:
βTherefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lordβ (I Cor.Β 15:58).
This, we repeat, is his exhortation to believers only, for God will not accept our money or our good works, until we have first accepted βthe gift of God,β which is βeternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lordβ (Rom.Β 6:23).
Accept this gift; trust the Christ who died for your sins and He will give you plenty to do β the most rewarding service any man could possibly render. source
