💡👑 Does The Armor Of GOD Protect Your Back?

Stand firm then … with the breastplate of righteousness in place. // Ephesians 6:14

In studying the Armor of God passage, we read that the purpose of the breastplate is to stop any attack that get past the sword or the shield. I then noticed there isn’t specific mention of any protection for our back. Could this be intentional? Is this because we are instructed to engage without fear? And that by turning our back and retreating we are exposed to the enemy? Does the first part of Ephesians 6:14 gives us the answer?

I believe that it does. We are ordered to “stand firm.” The word of God also tells us in James 4:7 to “resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” When we trust the instruction of God to stand firm, the enemy will never see our back. He will see every attack deflected and fall to the ground in defeat. He will know that you are a warrior prepared for battle. He will know that you are aware of the outcome … that “it is written” … and that God’s words and promises are tested and proven.
