💡👑 A Life Conformed Or A Life Transformed?

Early in my walk, I met with a local minister seeking understanding and guidance throughout a difficult time of my life. At this point, I had met or conversed with several other ministers, pastor counselors and individuals … all of whom offered their sincerest insights, advice, analogies and blessings. I will never forget them. In retrospect, the most profound analogy was given by this particular minister.

He suggested I view my life as a puzzle, scattered all over the floor. Each piece representing an aspect of my life. He then asked, “If you are fully prepared to give your life to Christ and truly sincere in your convictions, are you equally as prepared to grab only a handful and ask that only those be fixed?”

He then stood, led a prayer and gave his blessings. This resonates with as much today as the moment it was offered. I’ve used this same analogy many times since then and as I’ve progressed in my walk with Christ, I’ve developed a much deeper understanding of this truth and the promise that it holds when we include Him in everything and remain centered on His will.

Many people today, I have also realized, are willing to compromise their principles in order to appease others..to be accepted..to be more successful. Those of us today who love God and want to stay true to Him are in a similar position, as all around us people are preventing God from entering their lives. God’s sovereignty, the truth of His Word and our obedience are consistently being replaced, and often interchanged, with indifference, materialism and conformity.

It is imperative to remain steadfast in your convictions, your love for Jesus and the truth of His Word. To give your entire life and not certain aspects. The Kingdom of God is founded on revelations, truths, acceptance, openness and sincerity. Alternatively, there is the kingdom of evil that is no less absolute in its falseness and its betrayal. The question is whether or not you are equally as steadfast to insure that the issues of Christian living and Christian duty are clearly discerned.

To truly take a stand and LIVE your beliefs, you cannot conform to both the truths of God and to wavering principles. A Christian life is a transformed life, not a conformed life. A revived life, not a contrived life.

They trusted in the Lord and were never confounded.
Psalm 22:5

Then we will not turn away from you; revive us, and we will call on your name.
Psalm 80:18
